Saint-Gobain Weber inaugurates its new plant in Kind Abdullah Economic City

A new mortar plant for Saint-Gobain Weber was inaugurated by Sheikh Saoud Al-Suleiman, Chairman of the board of Rolaco Trading and Contracting and Mr. Thierry Fournier CEO Saint-Gobain South Europe, Middle East and Africa in KAEC in presence of Mr. Mostafa Mihraje, Consul General of France in Jeddah and other key stakeholders and customers as well as team members from Saint-Gobain Saudi Arabia.

“The plant is strategically located to serve the western province and new upcoming projects on the red sea area by offering innovative solutions for façade, flooring, waterproofing and finishing” said Mr. Mohieddin El Hashash CEO Saint-Gobain Saudi Arabia.

Complying with the highest standards in terms of industrial performance, safety, energy consumption, the new plant is built over a 32 938 m² land area, will have a production capacity of 45 T/ hour of cementitious products with a room for expansion to service of the Saudi Arabia and export Markets in the future.

During the inauguration ceremony Mr. Hady Nassif CEO Saint-Gobain in Eastern Mediterranean & Middle East cluster mentioned that: ”the opportunities for light and sustainable construction in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are unique with the vision 2030 put into execution.  Saint-Gobain group is continuously investing in production and human resources in Saudi Arabia making it a hub for our operations in the Gulf “
