Masdar City due to its pioneering work in innovation and sustainable development is a showcase for cutting edge, low energy buildings and so became a natural choice for Saint-Gobain to exhibit its state-of-the-art capabilities in sustainable living.

The Multi Comfort House heralds a new era in sustainable living, bringing together the combined knowledge and knowhow of Saint-Gobain’s 355 years of experience in highly sustainable, energy efficient and low carbon solutions. It will provide the highest levels of performance and sustainability as well as a perfectly designed indoor environment to promote health & well-being for all employees and visitors.

Meeting the group’s commitment of Net-Zero Carbon by 2050, the Multi Comfort house will act as a living laboratory to monitor and evaluate the performance and durability of building solutions and to assess their impact on the operational and embodied carbon throughout the building life cycle.

The project is targeting LEED GOLD certification, Estidama 4 Pearl Rating System and complying with Masdar Building Design Regulations & Energy Guidelines. The building was recently awarded SUSTAINABLE BUILDING DESIGN OF THE YEAR 2019 in the MENA Green Building Awards organized by Emirates Green Building Council and endorsed by World Green Building Council.

Paul Button, CEO of Saint-Gobain UAE said, “All of us at Saint-Gobain are thrilled to start the construction of our Multi Comfort House and cannot wait for it to be completed, it will be become the new Home for Saint-Gobain UAE team and will be a real and living showcase, practically demonstrating the combination of high performance, sustainability and wellbeing to the visitors.

“On behalf of Saint-Gobain, I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in bringing this ground-breaking initiative to reality in Masdar City.”
