Saint-Gobain has been selected to equip Yas Arena, the future multi-purpose stadium being built on the man-made Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Designed by the architectural firm of Pascal+Watson, this modular building, certified ESTIDAMA, will host a wide variety of sports and entertainment events ranging from a 500-seat theater to an 18,000-seat arena. Saint-Gobain Gyproc has supplied more than 280,000 m2 of plasterboard, including 80,000 m2 of Habito plasterboard for its impact resistance and its ability to support heavy loads, such as screens. KIMMCO- ISOVER glass wool were also chosen for this structure, which is due to open its doors to the public by mid-2020.
